Desde que leí este libro, supe que estaría entre mis favoritos del 2021. Es difícil de creer que este es el primer libro de la autora. Es un misterio que examina las consecuencias de la agresión sexual y lo que una familia haría para proteger a uno de los suyos. Este explora el impacto que dejó no sólo en la víctima, sino también en la familia, sus experiencias emocionales e incluso el deseo de venganza.
El tema de la agresión sexual masculina realmente fue muy interesante para mí, porque no es algo que leemos a menudo en libros. Algunos capítulos eran muy difíciles de leer y se metieron bajo mi piel, pero entiendo que son importantes para entender realmente el dolor de la víctima. El libro es narrado desde múltiples puntos de vista de varios personajes y era interesante estar dentro de la cabeza de cada uno de ellos. En mi opinión, el final fue fenomenal y no vi venir algunas cosas. Una lectura súper importante, definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Amé este libro con todo mi corazón y desde el momento que lo terminé también supe que estaría entre mis favoritos. Me encantaron todos los personajes, la historia, el duelo, todo con lo que trata y el hecho de que la tía del personaje principal es una escritora famosa. El libro tiene un elemento de realismo mágico que hizo de la lectura aún más interesante. La gran revelación no me sorprendió, ya que para mí era bastante obvio lo que estaba pasando desde el principio. ¿Esto me hizo disfrutar menos el libro? Absolutamente no, de igual manera me gustó mucho. Me hizo llorar y luego me recompuso el corazón.

Colleen Hoover es una de mis autoras favoritas y she did it again ladies and gentleman. Empecé este este libro como todos los libros de Colleen, totalmente a ciegas y déjame decirte que no esperaba que este libro fuera de lo que se trataba. Fue desgarrador, crudo, real y lleno de dolor y tristeza. Me encantó que los capítulos cambiaran entre "entonces" y "ahora", simplemente añadió mucho contexto a la historia y al leer del pasado y el presente llegué a conocer a los personajes y cómo cambiaron durante los años.
Sentí mucho por Quinn y Graham y me dolió ver cómo eran en el pasado y luego ver en quién se habían convertido en el presente debido a sus circunstancias. A pesar de que no he estado en sus zapatos, los entendí a ellos y a sus luchas. Quería darle a ambos un abrazo, pero también quería sacudirlos por no comunicarse y evitar hablar de lo que estaban pasando. ¡Lectura muy importante!

Soy amante de los libros de misterio y este no me decepcionó. Me gustó mucho que fue narrado desde dos puntos de vista diferentes. Me encantó el sutil romance que la autora creó en la historia. Me alegró no haber descubierto antes que los personajes principales lo que estaba ocurriendo, sino que lo vi venir al mismo tiempo que ellos.

Esta serie me encantó. Las protagonistas de los dos libros son muy diferentes, pero ambas son mujeres fuertes y empoderadas. Las historias de amor se sentían tan natural y real, nada forzado en lo absoluto. Aparte de los romances que se llevan a cabo en estos libros, también tratan con muchos temas importantes. En primer lugar, tiene mucha representación y diversidad. También habla de la salud mental, las posiciones de poder en los lugares de trabajo y la agresión en los mismos. Si quieres una serie con buenos romances entre adultos y al mismo tiempo conseguir buenos personajes, esta serie es para ti.
