Hermés to Launch a Lipstick Line Inspired by the Iconic Birkin Bag

The French fashion label Hermés has announced the launch of its first makeup collection. This line will feature a set of lipsticks inspired by the iconic Birkin bags. Since 1837 the label has earned global recognition for their iconic design of the Birkin bag inspired by the English actor and singer Jane Birkin.

The line is said to launch in March featuring a set of 24 shades of lipsticks in both matte and satin finishes by the name of the new Rouge Hermés. Each shade was inspired by the archives of 75,900 swatches from silk to leather. The packaging will be plastic-free made from the same metals used for its handbags hardware. In their plans, they set to launch a new cosmetic category every 6 months.
